The Vampire Diaries

I can feel you behind my eyes….

Elena: You can’t kiss me again… it’s not right.
Damon: It’s right. It’s just not right now.
Last Night’s Episode. Review

Ok so last night’s episode of Vampire Diaries was amazing. Lots of new events and problems building up. Vicki came back with the help of a powerful witch who wanted to restore the balance of nature, aka kill Elena. Luckily, Bonnie managed to send her back to the other side. They think the have solved that problem, but rather they solved the Vicki problem. Matt seemed to open a door to some rather angry ghosts. Yes, welcome back, Mason Lockwood.

Jeremy and Bonnie are having some issues relating to the fact Jeremy is having long and meaningful discussions with the ex vampire girlfriend. While Rebekah is now staying in the Salvatore boarding house to keep an eye on things and to annoy Caroline, as I see it. There seems to be a competition going on, ”vampire barbie” vs ”barbie Klaus” with Tyler, who is complicating things with his new Hybrid attitude of being sired. Which means he is now feeling a rather intimate loyalty to Klaus, the big enemy, of course. Plus, his new vampireness has now heightened  his obnoxious side, which could be a problem to his relationship with Caroline.

Katherine, though, spent the whole episode trying to awake Michael, the ”badass vampire/vampire hunter”. Turns out he doesn’t feed on human blood neither on animal blood. Instead he feeds on vampire blood, making Katherine dinner for once.

Ok, now Stefan, he sure is an issue. Especially with his new upholstery in the Salvatore house. At least Damon tries to keep the blood off the furniture. I don’t know but Stefan’s new past time reminds me of Damon’s ”sorority girl” parties, only with a new twisted bloody Twister game.

And oh, what a difference a year makes for Elena, who reminds us and her friends that the first day of school is also the first anniversary of her meeting Stefan. Instead of long and meaningful looks between this two, the day was filled with disdainful glances and snark filled remarks. Stefan may catch Elena but this wasn’t an act of love, but merely because she is a ”human blood bag.” Elena however, still has hope that she will be able to de-ripper Stefan, a fact that he believes to be pathetic. Not so pathetic really,  when she channels this comments to make her stronger and make Alaric’s new stake device to work in Stefan’s gut.

The ”Delena” flirtation is still going on, which led to a rather hot demonstration of how a vampire’s heart is in the same place as a human’s. So the big question is: Will Stefan’s presence and lack of humanity push Elena toward Damon at a quicker pace?
